Mobile and Steam Bugs
Bugs are assumed to affect both editions when confirmed, if a bug never affected your game version, please motion information technology to the Mobile/Steam Exclusive section.
Game Limitations
These are features that have existed in the game for awhile, and are baked in to the game'southward core mechanics. Rather than being bugs, these are rather limitations of the game, and then are less probable of beingness fixed.
- A pocket-size design issue, MSM features '3D' audio, where the current view affects both the sound direction (left/right stereo) equally well as the sound book (distance from the player's view). The 'emitters' for the sound are always at the base of the monster, on the grid, resulting in a Monster's song being louder when you are zoomed in on their base/feet, and quieter when you're zoomed in on the role that should be making the sound, such as mouths. This is especially noticeable in tall Monsters, such equally the Whisp, and Wubbox, and Biggified Monsters, as the distance betwixt e.m. rima oris and feet is greater.
- A long-continuing 'problems' occurs when y'all accumulate more 1,999,999,999 Coins/Treats; the display typically doesn't goes whatsoever college, even though you practice have more Coins/Treats and you can continue to accumulate. Thus it is impossible to know how many Coins/Treats you may truly have. In improver, once this corporeality of Coins/Treats is reached, collecting Coins/Treats will no longer play the Coin/Treat collection sound until the number of Coins/Treats is brought back down. Trivia: The displayed maximum is the upshot of a change in April/May of 2013 (archived link) (possibly version 1.2.0) from a previous maximum displayed of two^31-1, or 2,147,483,647 Coins. Going over that amount would exceed the maximum value for the type used (signed integer) and cause the Coin count to display incorrect - often non-numerical - values.
- Besides, when you reach this number, the sound stops playing for collecting coins.
- There are known cases where the displayed value was 2,000,000,000 exactly, merely the exact mechanism that causes this to happen is unknown.
Connection Issues
The fact that the game sometimes responds slowly can't be fixed, due to its nature of existence a network-dependent game. Sometimes the game will respond very slowly fifty-fifty when y'all are trying to collect coins/shards or diamonds or food, sending eggs to the plant nursery, convenance, selling eggs from the nursery, placing a monster, etc.
This can exist dealt with past...
- Apply a newer device (as long as you lot bind your account to transfer)
- Stand closer to a Wi-Fi modem
- Have some spare data on your phone or other device that can use cellular.
- There was a glitch were when trying to breed it says, "Could Not Discover PlayerBreeding Belongings userEggId 1. The footage has been lost.
- A like glitch can sometimes occur when trying to zap an egg that has already been zapped, just was not yet removed from the Breeding station. When it is attempted that second time, the Big Blueish Bubble servers respond with the fault message. Example fault bulletin given in screenshot. The egg is not actually lost - it was successfully zapped, the server was but a lilliputian ho-hum to answer the first time around or its response got lost in the depths of the internet.
Sound
- Later on Bone Isle loops, the last part where Uuduk plays gets skipped.
- If Glowl and Floogull are the only Monsters on Amber Island (or all other monsters are muted), Floogull merely plays once.
- If Floogull is the only playing Monster on Bister Island, after its outset verse, its vocal becomes very distorted and very loud, with actress bass and high reverb. This does not cease by muting Floogull, or moving out of the island. The only fashion for information technology to cease is to get out the game. Floogull's animation also does not play while it'south screeching.
- When unmuting other Monsters, they will also be bugged out until the song loops back effectually and the bug dissapears.
- Sometimes in various islands, when listening to the vocal, some monsters would become very quiet for one verse. Examples of monsters that are afflicted are Bowgart on Plant Isle and Rare Wubbox on various islands. This happens peculiarly on Gold Island, as the cause of the glitch is likewise many monsters, even if it'southward the same monster. (Verify for Steam)
- When Slowing down an Island, halfway during a monster blitheness, the blitheness will stop, merely the song will withal go on
- When you lot sometimes begin a friction match in The Colossingum, the battle music gets delayed.
Animation Errors
- Whenever you select the Nursery, if there is a Rare/Epic Egg, the gleam animation won't squash with everything else. (Verify for Steam)
- Glowbes do non have a squashing blitheness when selected, dissimilar any other Monster, Structure, or Ornamentation. (Verify for Steam)
- Glowbes in a Fuzer do not squash forth with the Fuzer'due south squashing animation either. (Verify for Steam)
- There seems to be a bug where several monsters animations restart as well early, but they will however play their parts. This applies to Yool, Hoola, Bowgart, Deedge, the Dipsters, and possible others.
- Sometimes, when the player uses the Time Machine to fully speed upwards or slow downwards a song, some monsters will sing, just their animations will non play for a short fourth dimension. This by and large happens with Werdos.
- On Burn Oasis, Lite Island, Bone Island, Psychic Island, or Faerie Island but conjure a Glowbe and place it on the island. The Glowbe's idle animation and light pattern would exist out of sync to the song, skipping part of the low-cal pattern. This is because Glowbe blinking patterns follow the aforementioned 140 BPM as most other islands.
- Sooza's idle blitheness freezes subsequently one loop in the Recording Studio on Amber Island.
- Stogg on Amber Island does its playing animation during Flowah and Barrb'southward poetry, but it does not make whatever noise.
Graphics
- The chief buttons in the bottom of the display ('context buttons') in 3.1.0 no longer compress and grow to the bottom center when tapped, but toward roughly the bottom correct. This can cause the Options label to go slightly off-screen also.
- Later on checking in a muted monster to a hotel and and so placing it , when in the placing menu (when you tin motility the monster) the monster will be emmiting rests, however information technology volition still have its idle animation instead of its muted animation.
- In that location are obvious visible gaps between the Isle's ground and surrounding decor in the bottom-left and bottom-right corners, causing the background to be visible there
Mechanics
- If you lot are in whatsoever of the Versus screens when the timer for new gratuitous matches counts down to zero, the game won't recognize there being new matches available; the counter remains at 0:00:00 and when attempting to find matches, will prompt you to buy more for 20 Diamonds. Exiting the Versus screen and going back in fixes this.
- Tapping the very top or very left of the context buttons (the row of buttons in the bottom right of the brandish) causes the button to react with its shrinking blitheness, but does *not* actually perform the action associated with that push button.
- Sometimes during breeding, the aura that appears around epic eggs volition appear effectually the Breeding Construction.
- Fwog'south Selling price on Os Isle is thirty,000 (Rare Fwog's Selling cost), instead of its customary 4,250 .
- Tawkerr on Earth Island takes 155,200 per feeding to Level from 19 to 20. This is probably a typo, and should be 1,555,200 .
- As of ii.0.6, when you look at the stats of the inactive Rare Wubbox it shows that it makes 19 coins/min with a max of 54,000. This would be the rate if it was agile at level one and 0% happiness, nonetheless, an inactive Wubbox makes nada. (Verify for Steam)
- A Tribal Island chief cannot place a monster if they had already removed another monster, nor tin can they remove a monster if they had already placed another monster. This can be dealt with by logging out (past going to the "Options" card and then borer on the "Log Out" push button) and logging in (by pressing the "Play" button) dorsum and forth.
- When going to light Friends' Torches, some Friends may have an indicator on their Isle showing that there is a Torch to be lit - but upon visiting the Isle, no lightable Torch is to be found. While typically this is due to their Torch having been it between the time of your receiving the Friends list and your visiting that Friend - which can thus be stock-still past endmost and re-opening My Singing Monsters to force the Friends listing to refresh - there are known instances where this appears to be a recurring problem where the aforementioned fix has no outcome.
- After lighting your last Friend'due south Torch from the Friends Torches tab, returning to the Friends menu will show the bulletin "You currently have no friends. Invite friends below." Switching to a different Friends tab and back changes the message to the right "None of your friends accept unlit torches."
- Tapping on an Egg in a Nursery that has an effect practical - such as the Epic glow effect - tin sometimes fail to select the Nursery if y'all tap exactly on that effect, and non on the Plant nursery or the Egg itself. (Verify for Steam)
- When visiting a friend that is in an unsupported version, the game will crash.
- Removing a massive amount of friends back to back, the game tin can crash.
- If you lot place your get-go Colossingum reward earlier the tutorial says you to do it, yous volition non be able to proceed the tutorial and use the Colossingum. Also there volition be the tutorial arrow permanently pointing to the mailbox.
- In the Boxing way of The Colossingum, quickly tapping the player's team monsters and the Swap button simultaneously on older devices can cause the game to freeze and crash.
- Since Version 3.i, visiting a Friend's Natural Island pops up the 'maximum beds/performance' alert.
Other Bugs
- Expanding and and so collapsing a Friend's details does not return their listing to the original summit, causing lines to subtly shift. Doing and then on each 5 volition cause the bottom line to overlap the 'Import Friends' text. (Verify for Steam)
- After viewing an Island's info in the Marketplace, borer roughly the right half of the "Get Official Soundtrack" button in the Islands carte du jour it will not work for Android devices and some Apple devices. The area that no longer responds to any taps appears to correspond with the "Get" button when viewing the Island'due south info.
- When looking at a friend's island, if their Castle is finished upgrading, you lot can see the XP sticker hovering to a higher place.
- When the player goes to the zap menu for the Celestials, tapping an expired Angelic volition refer to the Celestial as a "Wublin".
- Completing a Fyber Offer Wall offer does non trigger the "You have been awarded for completing [N] offer(southward)" with the Diamond corporeality, as it had with the TapJoy Offer Wall, making it easy to miss that an offer advantage was awarded; only the Diamond collection sound plays, and Diamond count goes upwardly.
- When you load the game, the transitions to each of the islands are gone, being a difficult transition instead of a smooth one. This i tin go stock-still by going into the Market until y'all get out the game and reload it.
- Bister Island Sooza incorrectly takes its names from the Rare Flowah name pool.
Steam just Bugs
Graphics
- The glowing effects on Magical Sanctum are non centered, instead beingness more on the bottom right side of the lights.
Mechanics
- In the Market place, selecting an particular, then using the ringlet wheel will still whorl the market place item.
- On some computers, trying to click on a push will fail. This appears to be due to a mismatch between where the button is displayed, and the region where the button is supposed to exist clickable. Possible solutions follow:
- Try clicking above/below the desired button. If you lot tin get to the Options screen, changing to a smaller resolution and/or Fullscreen mode may resolve the issue.
- If yous use 'Brandish Scaling' in Windows - typically 125% or 150%, sometimes labeled as 'DPI' instead - try turning that off / setting that to 100%. Notation that this affects the scale of things in all of Windows, not simply MSM.
- The Ethereal Island Breeding Structure will rarely not breed any Monsters together no thing what Level the monsters are at.
- When reaching Level xv, the level upwards screen will show that the Recording Studio has been unlocked. However, this Structure is not available in the Steam Version.
- In the breeding bill of fare, the help button between the breed and cancel buttons is missing, thus leaving an empty gap between those.
- Sometimes, when clicking the Collect All Push button, the buttons and "CONFIRMATION" box are blank, causing a softlock.
Mobile only Bugs
Animation Errors
- When you go to record a voice for Shrubb in the Establish Island Recording Studio, Track One will play its Track Two animation merely Rails One sound, and vice-versa.
Graphics
- Sometimes, if the connectedness is somewhat bad, the game isn't fully logged off, and you lot're holding the device vertically, and then when you plow the game back on, it might be stretched to fit a vertical screen. This tin happen on iOS and Android, even so, on Android, the game looks to fit the screen just fine. If on Android you open My Singing Monsters via lock screen by notification, the screen is cutting off, and the game is unplayable until the histrion closes the game and reopens information technology.
Audio
- When playing My Singing Monsters and an advertizement appears later loading, sometimes no sound will play. This can be fixed by exiting and going back into the app. This tin likewise result in the Monsters not singing, but ambient music and other sounds to still play.
- If you get out in and out of the app, the Monsters may first to sing actually fast and glitchy. [1]
Mechanics
- If y'all become out of the game (Leave it open as a tab) and get back in through the tab while on an island during the song, the currently playing monsters will even so make their sound, but will be doing their' idle animation until the next section of the song.
- Sometimes, when training on the Colossingum, a dialogue box volition say "Picket a video to finish at present for free?" at the beginning. This deducts 15 minutes, just does not finish training.
- There is an error that appears when trying to speed up breeding time past watching an ad, under the proper name of "SUV 000" which appears to block you from watching ads to speed upwardly waiting time.
Unconfirmed
- In the Mirror Islands Map carousel: if y'all scroll to a locked Island, the 'Become' button disables. Switching to the Chief Islands carousel leaves the 'GO' button disabled, even if that Main Island is unlocked. You have to scroll away and dorsum over again to enable the 'Get' button to visit it.
- Under undetermined circumstances, moving a Torch via long-press (intended or accidental) may not enter the contextual move menu, blocking other interactions. To get out of this country, printing the 'Move' button, and so exit the motility carte du jour.
- On Fire Oasis, all monsters would stop for 2 seconds at the start of a vocal, and then they starting time all over again over. And the rest will join in, Then stop and it repeats all over once again.
- On the map menu, afterward playing the spin cycle part of it still shows up.
- When waking upwardly a Wublin, the quick-collectable reward bubbles from other Wublins disappear.
- Note: This glitch on mobile and only works if you don't take a mirror island. If y'all are on the game and go along the cyberspace with a open up page and then become dorsum on the game, it may work, but if you lot go on the mirror isle menu, try to buy a mirror island you lot don't have and the select the normal version of that island, information technology will bump you back to the loading screen and so volition load the game again.
- If you tap twice during a discovery screen, the monster that you've discovered appears twice. Afterward that, it shows an empty white screen that takes forever to disappear automatically. Pressing the back button on your device or closing the app will ready this event, but on the Steam version however, there'due south no manner to go out of this blank screen without endmost the program, creating a softlock.
- On someone'south isle their castle moved they didn't do this. Nobody knows what happened Looks similar an isolated incident that may not be notable hither.
- For some reason, in Composer Island, Pango's lower notes accept more reverb compared to Steam and MSM: Composer versions.
